
Located within the 1528.7 acre Possum Kingdom State Park, the Possum Kingdom Lake offers water based recreation in the form of lake swimming, fishing , boating, and water skiing. The common fish found, are the largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, striped bass and white crappie. Other facilities include a fish-cleaning area and a concrete boat ramp with a courtesy dock. Located about 16 miles west of Mineral Wells, Possum Kingdom is approximately 19,800 acres and is fed by the Brazos River as well as numerous creeks.
