All You Need to Know for Back to School!

Another great year at Strawn ISD begins next week! Here's everything you need to know for a successful start!

School supply lists for grades PreK - 5 can be found on our website here.

Students may drop off supplies at our Back to School Luau on August 7, 2023. 5:30 PM Meet the Teacher, 6:00 PM Meal in Cafeteria, provided by Clear Fork Bank, 6:30 PM Meet the Greyhounds in Gym .Then head out to the playground for the luau - music, water slides, limbo contest, hula hoop contest, and more! Best of all - this is a FREE event! Come meet our staff, drop off supplies, celebrate the start of another great year, and enjoy being a part of our Strawn Greyhound Family! Wear your best Hawaiian outfit to our back to school luau! *Dress code appropriate, no swimsuits

Dunk the Coaches after Meet the Greyhounds, $1 per ball. Coaches rotate every 15 minutes. Bring cash & dunk them all! Eli, Morton, Moore, Alvarez, Lee, Kinkade, Ahearn

Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 9, 2023. The first bell rings at 7:40 AM, tardy bell at 7:44 AM, and classes release for the end of the day at 3:56 PM. Drop off and pick up procedures will be communicated to guardians via text prior to the first day of school.

Meals are provided to Strawn ISD students free of charge. Our menu for each month can be found on our website or Facebook page, and the daily menu is available on our website and on our app in the Dining section!
