From the City of Strawn: "There are several active fires south of Strawn. The largest plume of smoke is from a fire that is currently south of Lipan. There is another fire west of Huckaby just north of the windmills. Additionally, the Eastland Complex fires are still active. Strawn ISD has agreed to open the gym to evacuees if necessary. We will post updates if our area comes under direct threat."

This week, Amon Carter Museum came to Strawn to share an interactive art experience with our Junior High! Students in grades 6 - 8 were able to experiment with printmaking.
