Athletic Schedule for the Week

Thank you to these wonderful students who picked up trash around campus after learning more about Earth Day with Mrs. Mallory & Mrs. Abbott!

Good luck to HS UIL Academics as they compete at the Regional level!

In honor of Earth Day, Kindergarten learned about things they can do to help better the earth and what hurts the earth. They also planted seeds so once they grow, they can be planted at home!

Good luck to our One Act Play cast and crew as they compete at Regionals!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Book Fair a success! We appreciate our volunteers, teachers, admin, and all the students and families who came by and supported our fair. We exceeded our goal of selling 500 books which helped to raise a little over $2000 to go back into our library and classrooms. Thank you so very much for encouraging our children to read and for giving back to our school!
Our online book fair will run for one more week, ending on April 24th. If you're looking for a book that was on the flyer but not at the fair, you may very well be able to find it here! https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/strawnschool

Athletic Schedule for the Week

Congratulations to our 2023 Prom King & Queen, Jose Estrada & Peyton Hammond! We loved the very untraditional first dance to "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus!
The Junior Class did a great job with prom at the beautiful Watson House. Thank you to sponsors, chaperones, parents, and to all who donated food, prizes, and time!

Strawn High School Prom is tomorrow, April 15th, 7:00 - 10:00 PM!
Please remember that if your guest is NOT currently enrolled in Strawn ISD, you must have the visitor permission form completed and turned in to Mrs. Miller TODAY. If this form is not completed, your guest cannot attend prom. This is for the safety of our students!
Forms can be found on our website: https://www.strawnschool.net/page/prom

Today is the last day of our in-person book fair, and we are so close to meeting our goal!
You can check out our online fair, load e-wallets, & check balances all on our Scholastic homepage here: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/strawnschool
Stop by the fair today before 4:45 PM to make a last minute purchase! We still have many fantastic titles including Dog Man, Cat Kid, Bad Guys, Last Kids on Earth, I Survived, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Paws, Grumpy Monkey, Pete the Cat, and SO MANY MORE! The best part is while you are getting great books & nurturing a love of reading, these sales also benefit our school!

We want to send out a HUGE heartfelt thank you to the Strawn Booster Club for their generous gift! These guys purchased a book from our Book Fair for every single child in grades Pre-K - 5! Thank you so much for giving our students the gift of reading!

For their spring community service project, Mrs. Bowen's third grade class collected 17 containers of breakfast cereal, which will be donated to the Gordon Food Pantry!

SENIORS: Don't forget your Senior Page photos, message, & payment are due in THREE weeks! Everything must be turned in to Mrs. Ellis by Friday, May 5th. So far, we have only received payment for one Senior. Don't let the deadline sneak up on you!
Contact Mrs. Ellis with any questions or to arrange photo/payment drop-off. (254) 672-5776 or cassie.ellis@strawnschool.net

More Easter fun! Mrs. Nowak's & Mrs. Humphrey's Pre-K class designed their own Easter eggs!

Thank you, Mary Tretter, for yet another year of Easter fun! Each year, Mary fills hundreds of eggs and puts on a fantastic egg hunt at her home. Thank you for your generosity!

This morning our cafeteria staff delivered Easter eggs full of fun prizes to all of JH & HS! These had snacks, milkshakes from Mel's Diner, Pac-a-Sac gift certificates, & more! Thank you, Maria, Lupe, & Beth, for your kind heart & giving spirit!
