It's almost time for Mini Cheer Camp! July 27 - 29, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Strawn Gym $30 per camper - registration & payment at drop-off July 27th Campers will learn chant, band chant, and spirit dance, performing for their families on Friday, July 29 @ 11:30 AM, & at the first Home Game! Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. No sandals or bare feet. Snacks will be provided. Please bring a water bottle. Crazy Day - July 28th

There will be a Strawn School Health Advisory Committee meeting on Monday, July 18, at 1:00 PM, in the High School Office.

At tonight's meeting, the Strawn ISD Board of Trustees approved the District's proposed changes, adopting the attached calendar. Strawn ISD will be operating on a 4-day week for the 2022-2023 school year. We thank our community for taking the time to voice your opinions and concerns, and the board members & administration for valuing all feedback. Our students' first day of school will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022! We will soon post more information regarding bell schedules and Meet the Teacher Night. Secondary students (grades 6-12) are invited to come on August 1st to register for their classes. High School: 9:00 AM-11:30 AM; Junior High: 1:00 PM-3:00 PM

Strawn Varsity Cheerleaders attended Cheer Camp this week and earned two superior ribbons, a red ribbon, and 3 spirit sticks! Amazing work, ladies, and to the cheer sponsors (Mrs. Cori Rhyne & Mrs. Heather Dawes) as well!

The Greyhound Yearbook Class had the opportunity to partner with the Strawn Chamber of Commerce & Museum for our service project this year. Communicating with Amy May, our class created a beautiful brochure to serve as the Strawn Chamber of Commerce Business Membership Directory. This full color tri-fold brochure is printed on 83 pound, matte paper, which was donated to the cause by Susan Hurley. We are grateful for this experience, in which we could apply and improve our research & design skills. Thank you for working with us and continually supporting our yearbook program!

High School STAAR EOC Test Review will be Monday - Thursday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, on June 6-9 & June 13-16. The STAAR Retest will be on the following days: English I - June 21 US History and Biology - June 22 English II - June 23

We are blessed to have law enforcement frequently check in on our campus, especially when they are as caring as State Trooper Gutierrez who took the time last week to visit with Kindergarten, comfort a crying Pre-K student, and shoot a couple hoops with one of our Seniors!
