Thank you, Todd Spakes & Owen Alison from the Strawn Volunteer Fire Department (with help from Diamante Berumen), for coming today to let us explore the fire trucks!

Big thank you to Mr. Jim Taylor for coming to visit our yearbook class and to teach us more about Adobe Photoshop! Jim Taylor is an amazing sports photographer and editor.
Mr. Jim gave us several tips on how to use Photoshop and even helped one of our own students (Jaycie Parsons) photoshop a beautiful picture of our lovely Kaydee Montgomery on to a banner. Mr. Jim showed us lots of tricks on Photoshop that none of us knew about.
Other tips he gave us were to always make sure we get sharp faces in our images, delete all of the back shots and dark images we get, and how to make our Photoshop edits look more realistic and clean. We appreciate all of your help and the time taken out of your day to come and visit us and teach us things we didn't know but definitely will remember now. It was such a joy to meet you and talk with you,
And aren’t you glad we found you a better shirt, Mr. Jim?

Thank you, Lisa Bell, for coming to visit our Yearbook Class! Lisa is the editor of Weatherford NOW & Burleson NOW Magazines and shared so much information with us about what that entails and how our yearbook skills would translate in that field.
We learned about what an editor does and the various roles freelance photographers & writers and graphic artists play in production. We sent over 20 questions beforehand to Ms. Bell in preparation, and she & Managing Editor Becky Walker answered all of them! Ms. Walker actually got her start by teaching a yearbook class!
Lisa Bell said her favorite part of the job is being able to make a living doing what she loves and meeting people she'll never forget. Thank you for your time and for sharing your experiences. We especially appreciated the advice of finding what you love and choosing a career that lets you do that.
